Configuring the Netopia router for a Static IP:
1. Browse into the Cayman router’s web interface.
2. Click on the configure link in the upper menu bar.
3. Click on the WAN link in the menu selections
4. Click on the ATM link under Other WAN Options
5. Choose correct VCI: UE=33 Paradyne=35.
6. Change encapsulation to Bridged Ethernet.
7. Click on Submit
8. Click on the WAN link in the upper Menu bar.
9. Click on RFC-1483 Bridged Ethernet vcc1.
10. Uncheck Obtain IP Address Automatically.
11. Enter the IP and Netmask.
12. Click on Submit
13. Click on the WAN link in the upper Menu bar.
14. Check the Enable Gateway Option box.
15. Enter the default gateway.
16. Click on Submit
17. Click on the Advanced link in left hand menu.
18. Click on DNS link.
19. Enter the DNS addresses
20. Click on Submit
21. Click on the little yellow alert symbol in the upper right of the menu box.
22. Click on Save
23. Confirm that the configuration database has been updated by looking in the lower left corner of the display.
24. Click the Restart button beside the Help button in the upper right of the menu box.
25. Click on the link to Restart
the Device
26. Click on Restart the Gateway. The modem will now proceed to restart and permanently save the settings.
