Configure Netopia 2246 for Bridge Mode

  1. Browse into the Cayman router’s web interface.(192.168.1.254)
  2. Click on Home.
  3. Click on Expert Mode
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click on the Configure tab in the upper menu bar.
  6. Click on the Advanced link
  7. Click on Ethernet Bridge
  8. Click the check box Enable System Bridge
  9. Click on Submit.

  10. Click on the little yellow alert symbol in the upper right of the menu box.

  11. Click on Save

  12. Confirm that the configuration database has been updated by looking in the lower left corner of the display.
  13. Click the Restart button beside the Help button in the upper right of the menu box.

  14. Click on the link to Restart the Device

  15. Click on Restart the Gateway. The modem will now proceed to restart and permanently save the settings.
