How to setup Linksys BEFSR11/41/41W for PPPoE connection
1. Browse into the router interface (192.168.1.1)
2. Enter username and password and click OK. (By default, the username is blank and the password is "admin" in lowercase)
3. At the WAN Connection Type, choose PPPoE
4. Enter the PPPoE username and password
5. Set for Connect on Demand and set the Max Idle Time to 0
6. Click Apply and then Continue
7. Click on the Advanced tab
8. On the Filters tab, enable the MTU option and set it to 1450
9. Click Apply and then Continue
10. Click on the Setup tab
11. Click on the Status tab
12. If the PPPoE Login indicates disconnected, click on the Connect button.
Note: if there's a message indicating a PPPoE connection error, unplug the power cords from the router and the DSL modem for a count of 5 and plug the power cords back in. After the red Diag light goes off on the router and the DSL link light is lit solid (not blinking) on the modem, click on the Connect button again. Once the PPPoE Login indicates "Connected", click on the "Home" button in your web browser which will take you to your homepage.
